Fear

Hunched low, crouching, an angel sits with its arms stretched out along the ground and its head drawn down between its shoulders. Behind its back, one wing rises pale, while the other, dark, reaches out to the left in broken strokes of red and brown; the whole image stands in raw white, ochre and umber against black.

VanW, who works in France, has built up the figure in warm layers of mixed media over a scraped ground. A solemn, intense work for a room of calm.

Your copy is printed when you order it, on 230 g matte fine art paper — matte, so there is no glare. If you choose canvas, the artwork is printed on fine art canvas.

The frames are made in Denmark and fit the size you choose exactly. If you choose framing, we put the artwork in the frame for you, so it arrives ready to hang.
