She stands in Bloom

Against a dense wall of roses in red, orange, yellow and brown stands a figure left white and without color, while leaves push in from every side.

Painted roses and long green stems cross the white body, and at the head a cluster of flowers gathers, so the figure becomes an outline through which the garden grows. Madame Petit is Shjazz from Groningen – visual artist, jazz singer, poet and drama teacher – and the work is executed in oil on canvas with bold strokes.
