The Labyrinth

Like a labyrinth drawn from above, coloured walls step inward toward a small blue square with stripes at its centre. The innermost rings are filled with fields of peach, orange and sun yellow held in by brick-red bands, while the outer edge consists of broad borders in greyish green and slate blue. A few small squares in navy or yellow interrupt the path, and the whole figure sits freely on a light background with jagged, stepped edges.

Gerard Ceulemans has filled each block with dense, even pastel colour and a fine, crisp line – a piece to lose yourself in, whether in the office or the living room.
