On the left side of an empty Piazzetta, the Doge's Palace stretches out with arcades and pointed windows rendered in soft watercolour layers. Against a sky in pink and pale blue rises a tall black lamppost, with the San Marco column behind it, and in the foreground a worn balustrade in red and ochre leads the eye down across the wet stones.

Massimo Frascogna works with drawing and photography, blending craft and computer; here a photo has been transformed into watercolour with visible paper texture. An atmospheric Venice motif for the living room or hallway.
